This Privacy Policy explains the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data within this online service and the associated websites, features, and content (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “online service” or “website”).
1. User Rights
1.1 Users have the right to request, free of charge, information about the personal data stored about them by the data controller. In addition, users have the right to have inaccurate data corrected, to restrict the processing of their personal data, and to have their personal data erased, where applicable; to exercise their right to data portability; and, in the event of unlawful data processing, to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
2. Right to Object
2.1 Users may object at any time to the future processing of their personal data in accordance with legal requirements. In particular, they may object to the processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes.
3. Changes to the Privacy Policy
3.1 The controller reserves the right to amend the Privacy Policy to adapt it to changes in the legal landscape or to modifications to the service and data processing. If user consent is required or if parts of the Privacy Policy contain provisions governing the contractual relationship with users, such changes will only be made with the users’ consent.
3.2 Users are asked to review the content of the Privacy Policy regularly.
4. General Information on Data Processing and Legal Bases
4.1 The personal data of users processed in connection with this online service includes master data (e.g., names and addresses), contractual data (e.g., regarding the services used), usage data (e.g., the pages of this online service visited, interest in its content), meta/communication data (device IDs, IP addresses), and content data (e.g., entries in the contact form or guestbook).
4.2 The term “user” encompasses all categories of individuals affected by data processing. These include, above all, visitors to this online service. The terms used, such as “user” or “controller,” are to be understood as gender-neutral.
4.3 The controller processes users’ personal data only in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This means that users’ data is processed only where there is a legal basis for doing so. Specifically, this includes cases where data processing is necessary for the performance of contractual obligations (e.g., processing orders) or the provision of online services, where it is required by law, where the user has given consent, or where it is based on the controller’s legitimate interests (i.e., interest in the analysis, optimization, and (in the case of commercial use) the economic operation and security of this online offering within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, in particular
5. Security Measures
5.1 The controller implements state-of-the-art organizational, contractual, and technical security measures to ensure compliance with data protection laws and to protect the data processed by the controller against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons.
5.2 These security measures include, in particular, the encrypted transmission of data between your browser and its server.
6. Deletion of Data
6.1 Data stored by the controller will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and there are no legal retention obligations preventing its deletion. If user data is not deleted because it is required for other legally permissible purposes, its processing will be restricted. This means that the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to user data that must be retained for commercial or tax law reasons.
7. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties and Third-Party Providers
7.1 Data may only be disclosed to third parties (i.e., in particular, transmitted or shared) on the basis of legal authorization and within the framework of legal requirements. The controller will only disclose users’ data to third parties if this is necessary, for example, to fulfill its contractual obligations toward users or if the controller uses third-party services within the scope of its legitimate interests.
7.2 If the controller uses third-party services to provide its services, the controller shall take appropriate legal precautions as well as corresponding technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of personal data in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.

Data is transferred to third countries only if an adequate level of data protection is ensured, the user has given consent, or there is another legal basis for the transfer.

8.2 Users are informed about the use of cookies in the context of pseudonymous reach measurement within this privacy policy.
8.3 If users do not wish to have cookies stored on their computer, they are asked to disable the corresponding option in their browser’s settings. Stored cookies can be deleted in the browser’s settings. Disabling cookies may result in limited functionality of this website.

14.3 Google will use this information on its behalf to evaluate users’ use of this online service, to compile reports on activities within this online service, and to provide other services related to the use of this online service and internet usage to the controller. In doing so, pseudonymous user profiles may be created from the processed data.
14.4 The controller uses Google Analytics only with IP anonymization enabled. This means that Google truncates the IP addresses of users within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there.
14.5 The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other data held by Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting their browser software settings accordingly; users can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online service by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

The plugins may display interactive elements or content (e.g., videos, graphics, or text posts) and are recognizable by one of the Facebook logos (a white “f” on a blue tile, the terms “Like,” “Gefällt mir,” or a “thumbs-up” icon) or are labeled with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin.” The list and appearance of Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

15.3 When a user accesses a feature of this website that contains such a plugin, their device establishes a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. In doing so, data regarding the user’s visit and interests in this website, as well as the software and hardware used, the time of the visit, and the user’s IP address, is transmitted to Facebook. In this process, user profiles may be created from the processed data, and cookies containing user profile data may be stored on the user’s device. The user data processed by Facebook may be used for marketing purposes.
15.4 The purpose and scope of data collection, as well as the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, and the relevant rights and settings options for protecting users’ privacy, can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

The settings are platform-independent, meaning they apply to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
16. Integration of Third-Party Services and Content
16.1 The controller incorporates third-party content and services into this online offering based on its legitimate interests (i.e., an interest in the analysis, optimization, and—in the case of commercial use—economic operation of this online offering within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) content or service offerings from third-party providers to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Content”). This always requires that the third-party providers of this content collect the users’ IP addresses, as they would not be able to send the content to the users’ browsers without the IP address. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. The controller endeavors to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. Third-party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes.
